I did that thing I sometimes do and that is really think about what I’d like my blog to look like instead of actually getting on and writing some posts.
Nevertheless, I’ve got a plan to get back into the saddle and start writing some posts again. Part of it will involve redesigning the site so there will be some visual changes (mostly to enable more posts that are just an image or two) and some additional features added.
I know, I know, it’s about the fiftieth iteration of a post like this, but it’s fast approaching the sixteenth birthday of this blog, so it will be nice to get scribbling/typing again.
I’ve also noticed that a lot of blogs on the small web or the indie web feature a lot of additional pages. Whereas a post might be something written on a particular date (like this one, today), a page is more for information that doesn’t really change.
Previously, I’ve just crammed all the unchanging meta stuff into a single about page. But when I looked at some other blogs, I found a wide variety of pages that people use and it didn’t take too long to brainstorm a whole raft of such content, some of it copied and some of it from my own innovative mind.
So yes, lots to come. Plenty more on the way!
